Today I have a card made with the Reason For The Season stamp set from Gina K. Designs brand new release! All of the new products from this release are available tonight starting at 7:00pm CST, you can find them HERE. Gina has a live going on tonight, at 7:00pm CST on her Facebook page and YouTube channel detailing all of the new products and she will have a card project at the end… her lives are always so fun to watch!! Included in the new release is a brand new kit! With the release of a new kit, all of the elements from last month’s kit are now available to purchase individually, if you were interested in anything from last month’s kit, I would suggest you order right away as there is a limited amount of some of the products. Of course if you do decide to wait a bit and anything sells out, Gina will be restocking those items from the previous kit. Today’s card is pretty simple, to step things up I used a dramatic ink blend to make my stamped greeting pop! The finished size of my card is 5″ x 5″ and will fit nicely into a 5×7 envelope. All of the stamps, dies, inks and cardstock I use on today’s card are from Gina K. Designs. ***Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to see another variation with this design. Let’s get started!!

I will be doing all of my work today on my TIM HOLTZ GLASS MEDIA MAT.

To start I take the largest stitched die from the MASTER LAYOUTS 3 DIE SET and cut out of PLUM PUNCH CARDSTOCK, running them through my BIG SHOT DIE CUT MACHINE. I then add a small amount of ADHESIVE DOT RUNNER to the back of the panel and place it into my MISTI STAMP POSITIONER and prep it with my ANTI STATIC POWDER BAG. I choose an image from the REASON FOR THE SEASON STAMP SET and center it over the panel then pick the stamp up with the door of my MISTI. Next, I ink up the image with VERSAMARK INK and stamp it onto the panel two times to get good ink coverage. I then add GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER and heat set with my HEAT TOOL.

Using my BLENDING BRUSHES I first blend PLUM PUNCH INK around all four sides, fading the ink towards the center of the panel. I then blend EDIBLE EGGPLANT INK along all four edges and fade it out, being mindful not to cover up the previous color. To create more depth I blend BLACK ONYX INK around the very edges of the panel. After all of my blending is complete, I take a soft dry cloth to gently buff off any ink that may be sitting on top of the embossing.

Taking the largest layering die from the MASTER LAYOUTS 3 DIE SET I cut out of PLUM PUNCH CARDSTOCK, running them through my BIG SHOT. To coordinate this panel to the embossing I run the edge of my VERSAMARK INK PAD along all four sides then add GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER and heat set with my HEAT TOOL.

Next, I add TERRIFIC TAPE to the back of my blended panel and adhere it to the layering panel. I then add BLACK FOAM SQUARES to the back and mount it onto a 5″ x 10″ (scored at 5″) card base.

To finish I use my JEWEL PICKER to add some DEW DROPS with LIQUID GLUE and this completes my card.

***Here is another variation of this same card layout. Instead of embossing and ink blending the panel I lightly blended white pigment ink over a stencil and stamped the same greeting in black ink. I then spattered white paint over the panel and mounted it onto a black cardstock layered piece. I added foam squares to the back then mounted the panel onto a 5″ x 5″ square card base. I also added a few snowflakes to embellish.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. It is a very simple card stepped up with some dramatic ink blending. With the large beautiful hand lettered greetings from this set some ink blending is all that is really needed. I love how it perfectly fit onto the square die cut panels from the Master Layouts 3 die set! This stamp set includes two large hand lettered greetings along with some single lined greetings as well as a sentiment that can be used on the inside of a card! I love the free hand lettering of Emily’s stamp sets and they can be used to create quick, simple cards. I hope you take a moment to check out Gina’s new release, there is a good variety of stamps and dies sure to satisfy everyone’s style!
